The EC4RURAL project continues to move forward and share the milestones achieved. In this sense, a second online workshop will take place next week to define the plans of the rural energy communities of the pilots in Spain and Estonia.
Aim of the second workshop
This second workshop will be held on Thursday 18th July, simultaneously in Spain (from 10:00 to 11:30 local time) and Estonia (from 11:00 to 12:30 local time), in English. It will promote the exchange of the specific objectives and the approach for the definition of the Energy Community Plans in the pilots in Spain and Estonia, with the idea of learning from each other and involving different stakeholders to create a greater awareness of the EC4RURAL project.
We will also have examples of local energy policies in Galicia, thanks to the participation of the mayors of Outes, Manuel González López; Vedra, Carlos Martínez Carrillo; and the mayoress of Tomiño, Sandra González Álvarez (to be confirmed).
The workshop will end with an open debate among the participants.

Continuous work
After the success of the first workshop held last June, with a joint session between Spain and Estonia and a double session dedicated to Spain and Estonia individually, EC4RURAL wants to show its progress in the steps taken to implement 34 Rural Energy Communities in many other rural municipalities in Galicia and Estonia.
