Check out the latest news on the progress of Rural Energy Communities in Galicia and Estonia!
The EC4RURAL – LIFE Programme 9th newsletter is out! In this issue, we report on the progress in the creation of Rural Energy Communities in Galicia and Estonia. Step by step, meeting by meeting, the EC4RURAL project consortium continues to advance on the path toward the establishment of Rural Energy Communities in the two pilot projects.
We also recall that the 30th June is the deadline for submitting abstracts to the conference ‘Rural Energy Communities: Bridging Local Action and the Transition to Clean Energy’ organised by our project.
Another event closer in time is the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) where we will be present on all three days (10th-12th June) sharing a stand with sister projects DISCOVER, ECOempower and BeFlexible under the slogan ‘Empowering communities for a flexible and sustainable energy future’. It will take place in Brussels (Belgium).
In the ‘Meet our Team’ section, this time we take a closer look at the work of our colleague at Sapiens Energy, the project coordinator Nerea Soro. Their role is to ensure that the energy transition reaches rural areas through real, sustainable, and community-led models that empower local people and create social and environmental value.
Finally, in the ‘Events’ section, we have compiled a list of conferences, seminars and workshops where the team has presented or will do EC4RURAL objectives and work.
