Today was the second session of the Rural Energy Communities Initiation Course. With the participation of Almudena Fiunte, project technician, and Xavier Simón, coordinator of EC4RURAL, during the 5 hours of this second session, the process of creating an energy community was developed, focusing on all the components of the business model that each of the local initiatives must define.
The end of this session gave way to the intervention of two technicians from outside the project. Firstly, on 17th September, Carlos Amoedo, Professor of Administrative Law at the University of A Coruña, will speak on the foundations of municipal participation in energy transition processes. In this sense, the management of the RDG Terra e Auga will make a specific call to all the National Classification Teams of the ten municipalities, secretaries and auditors, to attend this conference.
Secondly, Mauro Vázquez, manager of Belian Energy, will participate on the 20th of September to close the course with a day focused on technical aspects that help to define the global matrix of what an energy community should be to operate in the electricity market.
